AgeLessShop.com Complaint: Expired, Unsealed, Empty Cosmetic

Trueler has received a complaint on “AgeLessShop.com – Anti-Aging and Cosmetic Products” online store which operates in Canada. The customer received from AgeLessShop.com a box of Adovia Mineral Skin Care moisturizing day cream which was expired, the seal was broken, the tube was only 30% full, cream was swapped, and the box had some phrases removed by corrector… AgeLessShop.com was totally ignoring customer’s inquires about this issue…

Expired Cosmetic!

The expiration date on the box is February 2011, but on the tube it is November 2011, which is clearly seen on the picture:

Broken Seal!!

There is a special seal on the tube with cream which states “Sealed for your protection“. But it was already removed:

Almost Empty!!!

It is supposed to be 50ml of cream in there which is the full tube up to the seal. But there is less than 20ml in the tube from AgeLessShop.com, approximately 30%

Modified Description

Don’t really know the reason, but it’s a fact. Some phrases in the description on the box were removed by a “liquid-paper” corrector:

The customer was trying to reach AgeLessShop.com to resolve the issue without any luck…

It is really frustrating that Canadian company Naturale Science Inc and its affiliates allow such outrageous things like dangerous, expired, half-empty and probably fake cosmetic being sent to their customers to happen… without any desire to fix things if it was an unexpected occasional mistake…

  • I’ve bought several products on the AgeLessShop.com – all of which were past its expiry date.

    NVEY Eco Organic Compact Powder was also open and it’s surface was scratched.

    Envisk/Bio Organics Anti Wrinkle Face Cream had a disgustingly rotten odour.

    I guess AgeLessShop.com was created to sell expired or/and damaged cosmetics from their partner-companies: EnviSk Organics/Bio, Modele Age Less, etc.

  • In reference to the above complain, we would like to inform you of the facts.

    Jan 3 2012, the customer purchase the product.
    Jan 6 2012, the customer told us of the problem with the item
    Jan 10 2012, we apologized to the customer and offer the replacement with any other product (the item was discontinued and out of stock) or the full refund and to return all received products.
    Jan 31 2012, full refund was issued, we never received the parcel from the customer.

    We understand the frustration of our customer and we completely take responsible for shipping by mistake an expired product.
    Our policy allow full refund or exchange of any products for any reason, including if the product does not meet the customer expectation; the only thing is asked is to return the unused portion.
    This particular customer decided not to return the received items, the wrongly shipped expired and two free lipsticks that were offered in a conjunction with this item. This of course increase the timing for the refund.

    In regards to our customer support, we operate Monday to Friday for 9:00AM to 4:00PM ET and we promptly reply to our customers.
    We do not operate to sell expired or liquidation products; our brands are currently for sales in pharmacies across Canada.

    We work truly hard making sure our customers are completely satisfy with our and our partner manufacturer and with their shipping experience.
    However we are not infallible and we do make the odd mistakes and we promptly work with our customers making sure that they are satisfied.

    Thanks for your feedback, but some points are not correct:

    - Jan 10, 2012: Full refund was not offered to the customer. There was no request to return product. AgeLessShop only offered a new product
    - Jan 10, 2012: The customer asked for refund
    - After Jan 10 the customer sent couple reminders to AgeLessShop.com, but they were not answered until Jan 31
    - Jan 31, 2012: PayPal reversed the charge by retrieving funds from AgeLessShop’s account, because the customer filed a dispute in resolution center since the company did not respond to refund request
    - Jan 31, 2012: AgeLessShop sent an e-mail to the customer offering a refund and asking to return the product
    - It was not only an expired product, it was also opened and only 1/3 full with something
    - In case of return, shipping is not “on you”. According to the policy: “Shipping cost are not refundable”
    - Two free lipsticks were not received by the customer
    - Customer support did not reply to the customer for 21 days… until PayPal reversed the charge

    i never seen this type of issue , i am also a buyer form AgeLessShop.com for last one year. As much I know they are working truly hard to make sure the customers are completely satisfied with their shopping experience regarding both their products and the partner manufacturers.

    Wow! I am shocked to see this review for this company as I have always had a great experience with them. I never had any issues with their products or service. If anything they are always willing to help with any questions I have and promotions they have going on. They take their time to assist you and if you are not satisfied they offer a full money back guarantee or credit on your account. The choice is yours. I have recommended this company to my friends to buy their wonderful products many times turning them into loyal customers over the years. Sometimes you have to wonder if the negative reviews are false and solely made to cause undue hardship on a small business made by an unhappy negative person. :) Let’s be kind to one another. If any of this was true the business would not exist.
