Trueler has recently received a complaint on Green Cricket online store (greencricket.ca) from one of our readers, who ordered some personal and baby care products.
When shipment arrived, one of the items was not delivered. They told by phone that is was out of stock, but they did NOT issue any refund for this item!
They apply 13% HST tax to diapers, feminine hygiene products, and baby clothes which is illegal.
Green Cricket (greencricket.ca) applies 13% HST taxes on everything to be delivered in Ontario and 12% for BC! They illegally and probably intentionally overcharge many items by 8% in Ontario, and by 7% in British Columbia. Beware of this place! Probably they are cheating on quality of the products as well!
This is the e-mail conversation where UPS lied that there is no way to clear goods coming from US into Canada at customs office other than port of entry.
I called UPS several times about this, and received the same answer: “You can not clear package by yourself in local Canada customs office. You must drive 400 kilometers into Windsor!”
Here is the legal way to avoid brokerage fee when importing goods from USA into Canada with courier companies like UPS, or FedEx, without driving hundreds of miles to the port of entry. CBSA officially replied that UPS forces customers to pay outrageous customs brokerage fees illegally.
If you are considering Nissan Infiniti of Willowdale service center or dealership as a place to repair/service your vehicle, or buy a new car, or especially used car – do NOT go there! After investigating and research it appears that Infiniti of Willowdale is really fraudulent place. Details and proofs are provided after the list of complains later in this post.
I would like to report here an obvious fraud with proofs from Willowdale Nissan Infiniti Dealership Service Center which happened this spring to me.

Front brakes on my Infiniti G35 2003 started to produce excessive squealing and it was the time to change brakes again. I dropped by to the dealership where they checked brakes and gave me estimation of $740 to replace front brake rotors and pads.
I was very surprised with what I’ve found. Infiniti G35 2003 has defective brake system. It causes continuous squealing and very fast wear out.
If you hear some knocking noise from the front suspension when driving your Infiniti over small bumps, or cracked pavement, most likely it is caused by damaged bushing on compression rod. The reason why bushings got damaged: they are defective. What you need is to replace ONLY the bushing, NOT the compression rod itself!
If a person purchases a designated item at a retail establishment or through the Internet, the retailer would automatically provide the purchaser with the point-of-sale rebate, crediting the 7% B.C. component of the HST and only collecting the 5% federal component of the HST on that item.
Here is the complete list of all goods and services which prices have been increased due to the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) introduction in British Columbia. Before all the products from this list were not subject to 7% PST (or 5% GST for some of them).
Price increase for some of the products and services is ridiculous, as they are the part of healthy living. They just fall in the same list with cigarettes!
